Station 33 turns a five-acre stretch of the 3300 block of South Broad Street, vacant for years, into a walkable district on Chattanooga's Southside. Developed by Barbera Development and designed by Franklin Architects, the $130 million project spans five buildings and roughly 500,000 square feet, arranged around a European-inspired pedestrian plaza with a splash pad, greenspace and a clock tower rising more than 75 feet. A seven-story Aloft hotel holds 120 rooms with a rooftop patio and bar, meeting rooms and a fitness center. More than 100 condominiums and townhomes sit above ground-floor retail, topped by six penthouse suites with floor-to-ceiling glass framing Lookout Mountain. A two-story food hall of roughly 17,845 square feet gathers multiple stalls around a shared bar alongside a full-service restaurant and lounge, and a 475-space garage serves the whole district.
