The Chedi Hegra turns the historic Hegra station of the Ottoman-era Hejaz Railway into a 35-key retreat on the edge of the Nabataean tombs of Hegra. Many of the rooms occupy the original stone station buildings and keep their historic walls, while new pavilions with private terraces and plunge pools open onto the desert and sandstone outcrops. The main restaurant fills the restored station hall around a conserved early twentieth-century locomotive, with a glass floor over the old maintenance pit, and a mud-brick villa houses a spa of roughly 12,900 square feet. GHM operates it under The Chedi brand for the Royal Commission for AlUla.
