The Society of the Four Arts

The Society of the Four Arts renovation is a $250 million, 18-month reconstruction and expansion of two historic Mizner-era buildings on the Four Arts' 10-acre cultural campus along Royal Palm Way in the heart of Palm Beach. The project rebuilds more than half of the Esther B. O'Keeffe Gallery Building and the Rovensky Administrative Building while preserving signature architectural elements such as the O'Keeffe's original pecky cypress ceiling. The O'Keeffe expands from roughly 20,000 to nearly 31,000 square feet, enabling larger exhibitions and events, and the scope adds bigger art galleries, a renovated auditorium with improved acoustics and expanded backstage facilities, a larger Children's Library, and new event, meeting, and boardroom spaces. Designed by New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle with Spina O'Rourke + Partners as local architect of record, the renovation modernizes one of Palm Beach's foremost cultural institutions for its next century of programming.
