Tour Triangle

Tour Triangle is a 180-metre glass pyramid by Herzog & de Meuron rising over the Porte de Versailles exhibition grounds in Paris's 15th arrondissement, the tallest new tower the city has permitted inside the Boulevard Peripherique since Tour Montparnasse. Developed by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield with AXA IM Alts, the roughly 91,000-square-metre building stacks about 70,000 square metres of offices for some 5,000 workers beneath a 128-room Radisson Blu hotel with a sky bar and panoramic restaurant, plus street-level shops and restaurants, a creche, a health centre, a cultural space and a public observatory near the summit. Its trapezoidal profile tapers to a knife edge so the tower reads as a slim blade from the neighbouring residential streets and throws as little shadow on them as possible, with a fully glazed skin set behind an exposed triangulated steel frame.
