Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape

Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape, is Banyan Group's first safari experience and the second property in its Banyan Tree Escape line after Buahan in Bali. Set along the Great Ruaha River in Ruaha National Park, in southern Tanzania's Iringa region, the first phase holds six private villas: three One-Bedroom River Front Villas, a One-Bedroom River Glade Villa, a Two-Bedroom River View Villa and the three-suite Ubuyu Private Retreat, each with a private plunge pool, open-air shower and wide decks under sweeping organic thatched roofs. Shared spaces include the Living Room gathering space inspired by Maasai homesteads, an Open Kitchen with a plant-forward menu, the rooftop Mganga Bar and the Maji Spa, with dedicated Escape Hosts guiding each stay. The lodge runs on solar power and locally sourced water, and is reached by a 45 to 60 minute game drive from Msembe Airstrip.
