About the project

Officially opened May 22, 2025, Universal Epic Universe is Universal Destinations and Experiences' fourth Orlando theme park and the most ambitious park the operator has ever built — the first all-new major U.S. theme park in 25 years, with cost estimates around $7B. The park employs a hub-and-spoke layout: at the center sits Celestial Park, a fountain-and-pond garden themed to interdimensional travel and crowned by the Chronos tower, the park's gateway icon. From the hub, four portals lead to themed lands — Super Nintendo World; The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic (a 1920s Parisian streetscape with the British Ministry of Magic); Dark Universe (Universal Classic Monsters); and How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk. Approximately 50 attractions, entertainment, dining and retail experiences across the campus, plus the on-site Helios Grand Hotel. Headline rides include Stardust Racers, a dual-launch racing coaster reaching 62 mph and 133 ft. Universal won four 2025 Thea Awards for the park.
