Villa San Michele, A Belmond Hotel reopened April 28, 2026 after an 18-month renovation — a former 15th-century Franciscan monastery perched in the Fiesole hills overlooking Florence, attributed in part to Michelangelo. The reimagined property introduces 39 reimagined rooms and suites, a Spa by Guerlain, revitalized gardens and woodlands, a new gastronomic offering, and a curated program of energy-raising experiences in collaboration with La DoubleJ. Redesign was led by Luigi Fragola Architects in collaboration with Belmond's design team and Luca Ghezzi Garden Design, preserving the villa's Michelangelo-inspired façade, arched terrace, and original chapel, cloister, and loggias.
