1 Hotel Melbourne - Opening Spring 2025
1 Hotels is entering the Australian market with the opening of 1 Hotel Melbourne, located along the northern bank of the Yarra River. As part of the Seafarers development, the hotel will be a key element in a $550 million mixed-use project by Riverlee, blending luxury residences, a public park, dining venues, and event spaces.
The design, led by Melbourne-based ODO in collaboration with 1 Hotels, will incorporate reclaimed timber from the site’s wharf restoration and native greenery, reflecting both the city’s heritage and the brand’s sustainability principles.
The hotel will feature 277 guest rooms and 114 branded residences, each offering river or city views with an emphasis on natural light and biophilic design. Over 2,000 plants will be incorporated throughout the space, reinforcing the connection to nature. Wellness offerings will include the Bamford Wellness Spa, offering nature-inspired treatments, and The Field House, which will include advanced fitness facilities and a range of rejuvenating amenities, such as a sauna, steam room, ice baths, and an indoor pool. The hotel aims to redefine luxury city stays through its commitment to sustainability and local design.

1 Hotel Seattle - Opening Spring 2025
1 Hotel Seattle will debut in the South Lake Union area in spring 2025, bringing the brand's signature biophilic design to the heart of Seattle. 1 Hotels is partnering with SH Hotels & Resorts to redevelop the property. The hotel will be housed in the former Pan Pacific Hotel, offering 153 rooms, including 45 suites.
Guests can expect a space that celebrates the Pacific Northwest's natural elements, from a lobby with a living wall of greenery to rooms showcasing reclaimed wood and moss art. The design will emphasize sustainability, featuring materials like reclaimed timber and stone, along with eco-conscious touches throughout. The property's central location provides easy access to major Seattle landmarks, including the Space Needle and Amazon's headquarters.
Dining will highlight local flavors, with La Loba offering a fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese influences, paired with craft cocktails and a wine program curated by Joseph Mikulich.

1 Hotel Copenhagen – Opening Summer 2025
1 Hotels is set to open its first property in Northern Europe with the launch of 1 Hotel Copenhagen. The hotel will be located at the intersection of the city’s Latin Quarter and historic district, aligning with Copenhagen’s objective of becoming a carbon-neutral urban center by 2025. Formerly operating as Skt. Petri Hotel, the property will transition into a 1 Hotel under the management of SH Hotels & Resorts, an affiliate of Starwood Capital Group.
The 282-room hotel, including 30 suites, will incorporate 1 Hotels’ sustainability-focused approach. Locally sourced materials and an urban garden will be central elements of the design. Dining options will feature seasonal, regionally inspired cuisine, overseen by a Green Michelin-starred chef. The property will also offer a Bamford Wellness Spa, a lobby bar, and spaces designed to encourage a connection with nature.
Copenhagen’s bike-friendly infrastructure and commitment to environmental initiatives complement 1 Hotel Copenhagen’s ethos, providing guests with opportunities to explore the city sustainably. 1 Hotel Tokyo - Opening Fall 2025
1 Hotel Tokyo, set to open in Fall 2025, will mark the brand's first property in Japan, located in the Akasaka district as part of the Tokyo World Gate Akasaka development, a complex integrating retail, business, and hospitality spaces. The hotel’s design will embrace the Japanese philosophy of "wabi-sabi," finding beauty in imperfection through the use of raw materials and textures, creating serene, nature-inspired spaces.
Guests will be greeted by moss-covered stones, plant-lined walls, and Oya stone, a traditional material in Japanese architecture. The 38th-floor lobby will offer a sculptural water feature and views of the city, with lush greenery bringing the outdoors in.
The hotel will offer 211 guest rooms, each blending traditional Japanese and modern elements. Spaces will include moss-accented entrances, wood latticework, and furniture crafted from natural stone and live-edge wood. Bathrooms will feature deep soaking tubs and chiseled stone vanities, creating a spa-like atmosphere.
The wellness facilities at 1 Hotel Tokyo will include a spa influenced by Zen gardens, multiple hammams, a fully equipped fitness center, and an indoor pool with large windows that connect the space to the outdoors.
1 Hotel Tokyo’s dining options will showcase Japan’s culinary traditions, with an open kitchen and private dining areas offering views of the Imperial Palace. The property will be a central hub for both business and leisure, offering event spaces with unique design details and sweeping views of Tokyo Tower.
