$2 billion Bahia Mar project aims to turn Fort Lauderdale into a 'mini Monaco'

The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale, will soon redefine luxury living along Florida’s coast. The ambitious project, developed by Related Group, Tate Capital, and Rok Acquisitions in partnership with Marriott International, represents a $2 billion investment into the transformation of Bahia Mar Yachting Center, which has long been a prime venue for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).

The development, spanning 40 acres, will roll out in two phases, transforming the marina into a Monaco-inspired destination featuring branded residential towers, a St. Regis hotel, a private beach club, and a collection of upscale dining and retail establishments. Phase one offers 160 condominium residences across two 23-story towers along with exclusive resort residences atop the hotel, and sales for The St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale, are now underway.

Renowned architect firm Arquitectonica leads the design with interior designs by London’s Tara Bernerd & Partners. The master plan includes 88,000 square feet of waterfront commercial space featuring restaurants, marina docking, and a 25-foot-wide promenade along the Intracoastal Waterway. This luxurious marina will also boast slips for yachts up to 350 feet. The residences, ranging from three to four bedrooms and measuring 2,600 to 3,550 square feet, provide sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and Fort Lauderdale skyline.

Penthouse layouts add even more space and offer exclusive amenities such as private elevator foyers, open-plan living areas, and glass-wrapped terraces.

“Bahia Mar has long drawn international yachting enthusiasts, yet its full potential has remained unrealized,” explained Jorge M. Pérez, Chairman and CEO of Related Group. “Our vision brings together unmatched residential, hospitality, and lifestyle options that are suited to this unique location, marking Fort Lauderdale’s ascent as a luxury hub.”

Each of the two residential towers will include 17,000 square feet of amenities in line with St. Regis’ luxury standards, including a spa, fitness center, salon, children’s playroom, and more. Outdoor offerings will feature a private pool, sports simulators, a pickleball court, and summer kitchens. Additional amenities for the residences include a 24/7 lobby, valet and self-parking, climate-controlled storage, and a dedicated resident app.
