Aman is officially coming to Aspen. The brand's first property in the town is rising at the base of Aspen Mountain, in the Lift One corridor, where Aspen City Holdings, part of Vladislav Doronin's Miami-based OKO Group, is developing a hotel paired with four full-ownership residences.

Aman lands as Aspen's hospitality wave keeps building, with White Elephant Aspen, the 54-key boutique hotel anchored by Lola 41, recently open on Main Street in the West End. Aman Aspen joins Aman's busy worldwide pipeline: a hotel inside Singapore's tallest tower, a resort in Bangkok's Nai Lert Park, Aman Rosa Alpina in the Dolomites, and the group's first Janu hotel and branded residences in the Middle East. Amanvari, the brand's first resort in Mexico, recently opened on Baja's secluded East Cape.

Sharing the base with Aman is Chalet Alpina, the corridor's 200,000-square-foot ski-in, ski-out lodge. It comes from Lift One Lodge Aspen LLC, a joint venture of Irongate Group and HayMax Capital. Irongate, led by Jason Grosfeld, is the firm behind Baja's 1,500-acre Costa Palmas resort community, while HayMax is the Aspen operator led by Michael and Aaron Brown.

The newly signed approval reprograms Chalet Alpina's lodging from 34 mixed hotel and timeshare units to 27 timeshare units that lock off into 104 lodge keys, with rooms required to be rentable to the general public when available. Above the lodge floors, 26 shared-ownership Resort Residences spread across two-, three-, and four-bedroom layouts, and six whole-ownership Mountain Homes crown the project.

The lift is the corridor's heartbeat, and both hotels sit at its base. Aspen Skiing Company will order the new lift in fall 2028 and install it across a continuous seven-month window in 2029, targeting a ribbon-cutting for the winter 2029-30 season.

The mid-century Skiers Chalet Lodge is being relocated and restored to house the Aspen Snowsports History Museum, with interactive exhibits, a cafe, and a community venue, alongside locker rooms and an Aspen Skiing Company ticket office. Finish work runs through late 2029, with an opening in early 2030.
