A bold new chapter is unfolding above Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville corridor, where the long-anticipated Andaz Toronto is set to take shape within the supertall One Bloor West.

Andaz Toronto marks Hyatt’s second venture into the Canadian market under its design-forward, lifestyle-focused, Andaz brand. Expected to open with approximately 130-160 rooms — Andaz Toronto will bring the brand’s signature approach to vibrant public spaces, curated dining, and elevated wellness offerings—including a rooftop pool deck that promises commanding views over downtown Toronto.
The hotel's interiors encompassing the common areas, event spaces, two distinct food and beverage experiences, as well as the guest rooms and suites—are being crafted by Toronto’s acclaimed DesignAgency. Known for their tailored, narrative-driven approach to hospitality design, DesignAgency’s concept imagery reveals a sophisticated aesthetic that reflects the energy and diversity of the surrounding city.
The hotel forms part of the broader One Bloor West (formerly known as The One) development, a project whose story has become one of both soaring ambition and significant setbacks.

Originally announced over a decade ago by Mizrahi Developments, the tower was envisioned as Canada’s tallest building. Financial troubles brought construction to a halt, and has since found new footing under the stewardship of Tridel, one of Canada’s most prominent high-rise residential developers, and has been rebranded as One Bloor West. Construction resumed in 2024 with a new phased approach.
Once complete, One Bloor West is expected to reach a height of 1109 feet, making it Canada’s second tallest residential tower behind the future SkyTower at Pinnacle One Yonge. The building, designed by London-based Foster + Partners, will house luxury condominiums, flagship retail, and the Andaz hotel, creating a mixed-use landmark that redefines the city’s skyline. Originally targeted for completion by 2025, the hotel’s debut is now more realistically projected between 2027 and 2028.
