A bold new chapter is underway in Belle Meade as AJ Capital Partners begins its transformation of the former Belle Meade Plaza into Belle Meade Village—a 15.5-acre mixed-use community set to introduce boutique residential living, curated amenities, and elevated lifestyle offerings to one of Nashville’s most established neighborhoods.

At the heart of the development are The Residences at Belle Meade Village, a pair of eight-story boutique buildings housing approximately 80 for-sale condominiums. Designed by acclaimed New York firm Meyer Davis—marking their first-ever residential tower in Nashville—the buildings are expected to bring a refined, high-design sensibility to the luxury condo market. Meyer Davis is led by Will Meyer, a Nashville resident with a deep portfolio of boutique hospitality and residential projects.

In total, the residential component will feature over 16,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed amenities. Highlights include a private pool with cabanas, a five-acre landscaped park and gardens, a golf simulator, and a selection of immersive rooms for music, cinema, games, and social gatherings.
These include a piano room, whiskey and cigar lounge, screening and listening rooms, a library, and even a dedicated Mahjong room. Wellness is also front and center, with offerings such as a fitness center, Pilates studio, sauna, spa, salon, cold plunge, and private treatment spaces. Residents will also enjoy hotel-style services, including 24-hour doorman, concierge, and valet.

The residences form part of a larger $780 million redevelopment that includes four residential and retail buildings, 388 residential units, 78 hotel rooms, and a series of street-level retail and dining options. AJ Capital acquired the site for $87 million in mid-2023 and has since revised the plan multiple times in response to local feedback, focusing on responsible density, traffic mitigation, and preservation of green space.

Demolition of the former Kroger building at the site began in March 2025, and the residential buildings are on track for completion by late 2027. In the meantime, a dedicated sales gallery is currently under construction at 4525 Harding Pike, with preview tours scheduled to begin this fall.

As Belle Meade undergoes rapid transformation—with additional mixed-use projects like Harding Town Center on the horizon—the introduction of Belle Meade Village signals a significant shift in how the historic district evolves while still retaining its character.
