Amangiri debuts its new six-bedroom private desert villa

Amangiri has officially unveiled its first-ever six-bedroom villa, introducing a new ultra-private residential experience within one of the most iconic desert resorts in the United States.

Set across nine acres of untouched landscape in Southern Utah, the 12,000-square-foot residence marks the first of 12 Aman-branded villas planned for the property.

Designed by Marwan Al-Sayed of MASASTUDIO, one of the original architects behind Amangiri—the home stays true to the property’s signature desert modernism, with low-slung forms, expansive glass, and natural materials that blend seamlessly into the surrounding terrain overlooking the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument.

The villa is designed for both privacy and gathering, with six bedrooms, expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces, and multiple lounge and dining areas that open into landscaped courtyards and shaded pavilions. A 118-foot pool anchors the outdoor experience, while the primary suite features its own private courtyard and heated pool. A dedicated wellness component includes a private spa with steam room and sauna, along with a fitness studio positioned toward the sandstone cliffs.

Beyond the architecture, the experience is built around fully serviced living, with access to a personal chef, in-villa spa treatments, movement sessions, and a dedicated host. Residents also remain closely connected to the broader resort, with the 24,756-square-foot Aman Spa, dining venues, and curated desert experiences all accessible via private electric transport.

The debut builds on the legacy of Amangiri itself, a 600-acre resort widely regarded as one of the most architecturally significant hospitality destinations in North America.

Since opening in 2009, the property has become known for its minimalist design language, raw concrete, stone, and glass forms that emerge directly from the desert, anchored by its iconic pool wrapped around a natural sandstone formation. With a limited number of suites and the adjacent Camp Sarika tented pavilions, the resort has long prioritized privacy, scale, and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.

Positioned at the edge of the Grand Staircase, Escalante National Monument, and within reach of Lake Powell, slot canyons, and vast mesas, Amangiri offers direct access to some of the most dramatic terrain in the American Southwest. Guided hikes, via ferrata climbs, and curated desert excursions extend the experience far beyond the resort itself, while the expansive spa and wellness programming draw from both modern practices and regional traditions.
