AQUASAN opens in Juno Beach with a tropical take on Pan-Asian dining

Updated: 4 hours ago

AQUASAN officially opened its doors today, June 5, bringing a fresh dining concept to Northern Palm Beach County. Located in Juno Beach, the new restaurant is the latest project from international restaurateur Patrik Waxin, known for his expanding hospitality ventures across South Florida, and “Top Chef” All-Star Stephen Asprinio.

The restaurant offers what it describes as “Tiki Fusion” or “Pan-Asian Tropical” cuisine—a blend of East Asian flavors with coastal, tropical, and Latin American influences. Chef Nicole Fey leads the kitchen, crafting a playful but precise menu that includes small plates, wood-grilled seafood, inventive sushi rolls, and modern riffs on comfort food.

Dishes include General Tso’s chicken & waffle sando, bánh mì grouper sliders, and gyoza tacos with yuzu guacamole, along with larger items like local catch a la plancha with cashew sambal, steak yakitori, and the Big Kahuna dry-aged burger. Vegetarian-friendly options and shareable plates round out the offerings, and the dessert lineup includes a Key Lime Baked Alaska and a quadruple chocofudge AquaJoy Sundae Sandwich.

AQUASAN’s bar, called the Big Kahuna, seats 50 and leans heavily into tiki culture. The cocktail menu features tropical combinations with layered flavors—such as the Vicious Virgin (tequila, mezcal, guava, mango) and the Black Pearl (151 rum, grapefruit, yuzu)—plus large-format drinks like the Scorpion Bowl. There’s also a wide selection of sake, soju, and wines alongside beers from both Florida and abroad.

The 150-seat space includes 40 patio seats and was designed with a coastal Polynesian aesthetic—lush greenery, ambient lighting, and a custom mural of tropical flora set the tone. While the vibe is relaxed, the experience is curated, with Social Hour held daily from 4–6 PM featuring $5 beers, 2-for-1 Tito’s, and a rotating list of food specials served on the patio, in the bar, or lounge.
