BiCE Naples returns to Naples and celebrates 100 years

BiCE Naples has officially returned to 5th Avenue South with a high-energy redesign that marks exactly one century since the brand’s first trattoria opened in Milan.

This isn't just a fresh coat of paint; the 5,566-square-foot anchor has been stripped and rebuilt into a light-filled, coastal-Italian power spot that balances its 1926 heritage with a modern Naples edge. By partnering with the New York and Treviso-based Sinfonia Group, the Ruggeri family has traded the traditional heavy aesthetic for a breezy, architectural look that mirrors the luxury of an Italian seaside promenade.

The interior transformation centers on a massive, sculptural white bar finished with intricate mosaic detailing and lined with navy blue velvet stools. Throughout the 90-seat main dining room, floating textile ceiling panels and white drapery create a sense of movement, while hand-painted blue scenic wall panels bring a quiet nod to the Italian countryside.

A signature central booth now anchors the floor plan to keep the energy flowing between the indoor tables and the private dining room, which has been custom-outfitted for high-profile celebrations and business deals.

Outside, the terrace footprint has been significantly expanded to dominate the 5th Avenue South streetscape. The outdoor experience is split into three distinct zones—a 60-seat west patio, a 12-seat bar terrace, and a smaller 9-seat west terrace—all framed by cascading bougainvillea and soft canopy drapes. This setup effectively turns the restaurant inside out, blurring the line between the refined dining room and the pedestrian energy of Naples’ most famous corridor.

The kitchen remains a temple to the classics, led by the Pappardelle BiCE al Telefono and the Spaghettone alle Vongole that built the brand’s global reputation. The updated menu leans heavily into technical precision, featuring Vitello Tonnato, imported Burrata di Bufala, and a Cacio e Pepe topped with red shrimp tartare.

A temperature-controlled wine cellar now sits at the heart of the space, stocked with a curated selection of Italian, French, and American bottles that reinforce the restaurant's status as a top-tier destination for the Naples elite.
