Cabot has officially unveiled major expansion plans for Cabot Revelstoke, its first-ever mountain golf and ski resort, set against the dramatic backdrop of British Columbia's Monashee and Selkirk Mountain Ranges.

The announcement centers on three big moves: a new 155-room hotel called Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge debuting in early 2027, the highly anticipated 18-hole public golf course Cabot Revelstoke designed by Rod Whitman opening for limited preview play in fall 2026, and continued momentum across an exclusive collection of luxury alpine residences.

Located in the alpine town of Revelstoke—celebrated as the "heli-skiing capital of the world" and home to North America's largest vertical drop—the resort is being designed to seamlessly combine world-class golf and skiing with refined accommodations and Cabot's signature hospitality. It marks the brand's most ambitious project to date and the first time Cabot has stepped into a true four-season mountain context.
"We are thrilled to begin 2026 with strong momentum at Cabot Revelstoke, which is poised to become a basecamp for year-round mountain adventure and connection in one of the world's most breathtaking settings," said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot. "The scale and beauty of the legendary destination make this one of the most captivating projects we have ever undertaken and an ideal location for Cabot's first mountain golf and ski experience."

Positioned near the base of Revelstoke Mountain Resort, the newly renamed 18-hole Cabot Revelstoke course is designed by acclaimed Alberta native Rod Whitman of Whitman, Axland & Cutten. Perched high above the Columbia River valley on a spectacular bench of land, the routing takes full advantage of sweeping vistas overlooking the river and surrounding peaks. Expect generous fairways, expansive greens, and bold bunkering, with holes unfolding alongside dramatic cliffs, meandering creeks, and natural landforms. The course is also being certified through Audubon International's Platinum Signature Sanctuary program, with environmental stewardship central to the project from the ground up. Limited preview play is anticipated in fall 2026.
Complementing the championship layout, Cabot Revelstoke will introduce The Railyard, a par-three short course named in honor of Revelstoke's rich railway heritage. Anchored by a vibrant clubhouse with dining, bowling lanes, virtual golf, shuffleboard, and more, The Railyard is being designed as a lively hub for the community and visitors alike. Construction begins this year.

Scheduled to open in early 2027 with construction well underway, Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge will serve as the central hub of the resort. The 155-room property will feature a refined modern steakhouse and bar, full spa and wellness facilities with hot tubs and sauna, a fully equipped fitness center, a striking European-inspired event venue accommodating up to 400 guests, curated retail, and convenient check-in for both golf and heli-skiing.
Drawing inspiration from classic European ski chalets in the Dolomites and Alps, The Residences at Cabot Revelstoke blend alpine elegance with modern comfort. Designed by New York- and San Francisco-based architecture firm Hart Howerton with interiors by Studio K, the homes feature soaring ceilings, expansive outdoor space, and panoramic mountain views.
Chalet 1, now nearly sold out, includes nine luxury residences with four- and five-bedroom single-level floorplans. Floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious terraces seamlessly connect each home to the surrounding landscape. Four-bedroom residences in Chalet 1 start at $7.6 million CAD.
"Revelstoke has long been one of Canada's most iconic mountain towns, and Cabot Revelstoke reflects an exciting new chapter for the destination," said Tom Gaglardi, CEO of Northland. "The addition of the golf course, alongside Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge and new homes will attract new visitors while strengthening Revelstoke's appeal as a destination people return to year after year."

Founded by Ben Cowan-Dewar with roots in Nova Scotia's Cabot Trail, Cabot has steadily built one of the most coveted luxury golf and master-planned community portfolios in the world. The collection now spans seven destinations across five countries: Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia (the brand's flagship), Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, Cabot Highlands in Inverness, Scotland (anchored by the classic Castle Stuart Golf Links), Cabot Bordeaux in France's Médoc region, Cabot Norway, Cabot Citrus Farms in Florida, and now Cabot Revelstoke.
Cabot Citrus Farms holds a special place in the brand's story as Cabot's first U.S. property. Set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty in central-west Florida's Nature Coast, about an hour north of Tampa, the resort sits on what was once the legendary World Woods Golf Club—a property Ben Cowan-Dewar pursued for years before finally acquiring it in 2021.

The reimagined destination has been built around an unconventional Florida landscape: dramatic 80-foot elevation changes, sandy soil, expansive natural waste bunkers, and rolling hills canopied by towering sand pines, palmetto trees, and century-old moss-draped oaks. The result is golf that feels far more like the Carolinas or Australia's sandbelt than the typical Florida resort experience.
The lineup includes two revitalized 18-hole courses—Karoo (designed by Kyle Franz) and Roost—alongside The Squeeze, a 10-hole course; The Wedge, an 11-hole par-3 course lit for night play; and a putting course. The practice facility features a double-ended TrackMan-equipped driving range. Off the course, the resort offers luxury two- and four-bedroom cottages for both rental and ownership, multiple food and beverage venues including The Porch, Grange Hall, and Cantina 21, plus activities like archery, clay shooting, and fishing. A new Pool and Racquet Club is also on the way.

With Cabot Citrus Farms recently named Golf Inc.'s 2025 Development of the Year and Cabot Revelstoke now ramping up its preview play, the brand continues to cement itself as one of the most ambitious developers in modern luxury golf and resort hospitality.
