One of the most anticipated openings is Equinox, the high-end fitness club known for its top-tier facilities. Set to open at CityPlace by late 2025, the 35,000-square-foot gym will be housed in The Laurel, a newly completed luxury apartment building. This marks Equinox’s first location in Palm Beach County.

Joining Equinox at The Laurel are three other notable tenants:

  • Alo, yoga apparel and accessories retailer.

  • Crate & Barrel, home furnishings.

  • Moxie’s, a Canadian restaurant chain making its mark in South Florida.

In another significant announcement, a new $600 state-of-the-art million hospital is set to join West Palm Beach.

Ken Himmel, president of Related Ross, also revealed that he has been working on bringing a Silicon Valley company with a $200 billion valuation and 25,000 employees to West Palm Beach. With Vanderbilt University planning to establish a graduate business school downtown, focusing on finance, artificial intelligence, and data science, it has allowed for a greater allure for these companies to make West Palm Beach their new home.

Originally opening in 2000, CityPlace faced challenges retaining tenants due to seasonal business. Related Ross has since reimagined the space, reducing retail density, and began building a mixed-use office hub.

With two more office towers—15 CityPlace and 10 CityPlace—planned for construction, the area is poised to thrive as a bustling mixed-use district.

Construction on 15 CityPlace is slated to begin in March 2025. 10 CityPlace, is scheduled to break ground a year later. - Read more with Alexandra Clough at The Palm Beach Post
