A major new chapter for Lake Como is on the horizon as The Lake Como EDITION prepares to open later this summer on the western shore. Housed in a reimagined 19th-century structure, the hotel introduces 148 guest rooms—including two penthouse suites—paired with a striking lobby bar, multiple dining venues, a spa with thermal pool and steam room, and a signature floating pool facing the Bellagio mountains.

The project is being developed in partnership with Marriott’s EDITION Hotels, Bain Capital, Omnam Group, and Kryalos SGR. It marks the brand’s continued expansion in Italy following the debut of The Rome EDITION, and brings a new level of modernity and global cachet to one of Europe’s most timeless destinations.

Design at The Lake Como EDITION balances reverence for the building’s historic scale with EDITION’s signature aesthetic—streamlined, theatrical, and intentionally minimalist. Many guest rooms feature private terraces with panoramic lake views, while a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces support a high-end culinary and wellness experience.

Easily accessible from Milan yet deeply immersed in the landscape of the lake, the property joins an elite tier of Como hotels—and stands out as one of the few integrated into the Marriott Bonvoy program. More than just a new opening, it signals a shift toward contemporary, design-driven hospitality in a region long defined by tradition.
