Firefly, a world-class golf community, is being built near Nashville

Just south of Nashville, a new private club community is reshaping the residential and golfing landscape of Middle Tennessee. Spanning more than 700 gated acres in Spring Hill, Firefly is the latest luxury development by Storied Development and Wheelock Street Capital—a partnership with deep roots in the private golf world and a proven record of curating next-generation lifestyle communities.

At the heart of Firefly is the highly anticipated debut course from renowned architect Andrew Green. Known for masterfully restoring icons like Inverness, East Lake, and Oak Hill, Green’s first original design brings his acclaimed vision to an untouched canvas of rolling farmland. The 18-hole championship course and family-friendly 9-hole short course are currently under construction and set to open in Spring 2026. Firefly’s walkable layout will include a caddie program and immersive natural routing that highlights the terrain’s contours and sweeping Tennessee vistas.

Green describes the project as “a journey through a setting that will captivate players,” and the demand reflects that excitement: 60 Founder Memberships have already been secured, with a second tier of Encore Memberships now open for early home and site selection.

More than just golf, Firefly is a full-scale lifestyle offering. Anchored by a Clubhouse Village, the community will feature private dining, a fitness center, business space, a full teaching facility, and extensive practice amenities. A dedicated Family Club brings bowling, pools, music spaces, lawn games, and a STEAM learning center—ensuring every generation finds its place. On the racquet side, members can look forward to six indoor pickleball courts, five outdoor tennis courts, and a dedicated pro shop.

Real estate at Firefly is expected to begin sales in spring 2025, with homesites ranging from $500,000 to $1.5 million and homes starting at $2.5 million. A total of 407 single-family residences will be available, each designed to complement the surrounding golf course and countryside setting. Construction on homes will begin in mid-2026.

Firefly arrives at a moment when demand for private club experiences around Nashville is outpacing supply. With existing private clubs largely at capacity, the community is poised to become a premier option for luxury living paired with exclusive golf access—just 30 minutes from downtown Nashville and 15 minutes from Franklin.

Storied Development, the team behind The Grove in nearby College Grove, leads the project alongside Wheelock Street Capital, whose national real estate portfolio spans $11 billion in value. Together, the partners estimate Firefly will contribute more than $1.5 billion to the Middle Tennessee economy at full build-out.
