A new chapter is unfolding for downtown Nashville as Equinox Hotels prepares to make its Southern debut. The luxury hospitality brand will anchor a striking new mixed-use development called Park Place, a three-tower project planned for the heart of SoBro.
The project is being led by Boston-based developers The Congress Group and Taurus Investment Holdings, the same team behind Nashville’s Four Seasons Hotel and Residences. This time, they’ve partnered with Equinox Hotels—founded by the team behind the upscale fitness brand and led by former Four Seasons COO Chris Norton—to bring a five-star, wellness-focused experience to the growing district.

Located at 203 Peabody Street, Park Place will rise on a 2.1-acre site acquired for $35 million in 2022. The mixed-use development will include Park Place Equinox, a 245-key five-star hotel featuring an 18,000-square-foot Equinox Club and spa, a rooftop pool, private resident amenities, and a signature lounge. Alongside the hotel, the site will feature a 239-unit luxury condominium tower and a 480-unit apartment building. Additional components include a 962-space underground parking garage and over 50,000 square feet of public parks and green space.

The developers have secured a $25 million pre-development bridge loan for the hotel component, arranged by Kevin O’Grady, David Larson, and Keegan Burger of Concord Summit Capital.
Equinox Hotels currently operates one flagship property in New York City’s Hudson Yards and has plans to expand to 33 locations globally over the next decade. The Nashville hotel would be among its first outside of New York and aligns with the brand’s strategy of entering high-profile gateway cities and resort destinations.
The Congress Group originally introduced the SoBro site in 2021 under the name 2nd & Peabody, a two-tower concept that faced delays due to legal opposition from nearby residents. The project has since evolved into the current three-tower vision, with construction now slated to begin in 2026.

This announcement adds to a wave of high-end development sweeping through Nashville. The city is rapidly becoming a magnet for top-tier hospitality brands: a St. Regis hotel and condo tower is planned by the team behind the JW Marriott, while SomeraRoad’s Paseo South Gulch will bring a Pendry hotel and residences—also featuring an Equinox Club—to the market.
For Stratouly and his team, Park Place represents both a return and a step forward. The Four Seasons development, which they sold for $165 million ahead of its 2022 opening, helped redefine luxury living in the city. With Equinox Hotels now in the mix, Park Place is poised to do the same.
