Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita unveils transformation

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has reopened following a seven-month, resort-wide renovation. Set on Mauritius’s east coast between Bambou Mountain and an iconic turquoise lagoon, the resort has returned with redesigned all-pool villas and private residence rentals, a rebuilt overwater spa, a new dining portfolio, complimentary daily championship golf, and expanded sustainability and conservation initiatives.

All villas and private residence rentals were reimagined by London-based studio 1508 London. The updated interiors introduce light-toned materials, layered textures, and vivid color references drawn from the island's natural and cultural diversity. Accommodations prioritize natural light and the relationship between interior and exterior living spaces.

Dining at the resort now spans a series of distinct, concept-driven venues. Angara serves Indian tandoor cuisine designed for shared dining, while Awase offers a chef-led experience influenced by Japanese omakase techniques and pan-Asian flavors. Radici operates as a rustic Italian trattoria, and Chaloupe serves Mediterranean dishes inspired by the French Riviera. Ti Pwason offers fresh seafood in a relaxed beachfront setting, while Blu’Zil presents locally inspired cocktails and the Rum Library highlights regional blends and botanicals. La Plaz Beach Grill on Île aux Cerfs serves fresh seafood and cocktails in a laid-back beach environment.

Wellness facilities were rebuilt around the debut of the overwater Oseyan Spa, now the island’s only spa constructed directly above the lagoon. The expanded spa offers treatment programs combining global wellness practices with Mauritian traditions. A new oceanfront Royal Spa Suite was introduced, featuring a private steam room, a handcrafted stone soaking tub, and a dedicated relaxation area overlooking the mangroves. Wellness programming also includes guided hikes to nearby waterfalls, lagoon-front jogging routes, and structured outdoor fitness activities.

Environmental initiatives at the resort have been expanded, reinforcing long-term conservation commitments. Programs include an on-site seagrass meadow nursery supporting marine biodiversity and carbon capture, a seahorse conservation initiative, and mangrove honey production designed to support local bee populations and coastal ecosystems.
