Good Samaritan Medical Center has just unveiled plans for a massive, future-focused transformation that could redefine healthcare, wellness, and urban living along West Palm Beach’s waterfront.

Good Samaritan Medical Center, part of Palm Beach Health Network under Tenet Healthcare, has partnered with Easton Street Capital on a long-term redevelopment estimated between $2 billion and $3 billion, The Palm Beach Post reported. The vision reimagines the longtime waterfront hospital site at 1309 N. Flagler Drive as a vertically expanded medical campus surrounded by housing, hospitality, retail, and longevity-focused amenities.

At the center of the proposal is a brand-new hospital rising directly west of the existing five-story structure, which will remain operational during construction. The replacement facility is expected to double the height of the current building, increase patient beds from 175 to 225, and maintain Intracoastal water views from patient rooms. Hospital leadership says the expansion will introduce advanced on-site cardiac care not currently available in West Palm Beach, while significantly strengthening cancer treatment, surgical services, neurosciences, breast health, and pediatric care — including new inpatient pediatric beds as other regional providers scale back.

Construction on the new hospital is targeted to begin by mid-2027, with an estimated 30-month buildout. Once complete, the original hospital building would be demolished and replaced with a circular mixed-use complex housing restaurants, shops, and a dedicated longevity center. These wellness hubs — gaining traction nationwide — typically offer genetic and metabolic profiling, cardiac imaging, preventative diagnostics, and therapies designed to extend healthspan.
Palm Beach Health Network, part of Tenet Healthcare, brings national scale and operational expertise to the project. Easton Street Capital, founded by Frisbie Group principals Cody Crowell and Robert Frisbie Jr., adds local real estate leadership with a focus on high-impact, community-driven development.

The broader campus is designed to function as more than a hospital. Plans call for workforce housing
along the western edge of the site to support staff recruitment and retention in a rapidly appreciating housing market, as well as market-rate residences integrated into a more walkable master plan. Two proposed 25-story luxury condominium towers — roughly 150 units each — would introduce independent living options overlooking the Intracoastal. A hotel tower is also envisioned to serve both medical visitors and leisure travelers seeking a wellness-oriented stay.
Developers are finalizing plans and anticipate submitting a formal development application to the City of West Palm Beach in the coming weeks.
