Inside Daytona's first boutique hotel, Ambros Daytona

Daytona Beach’s first design-driven boutique hotel has officially joined one of the world’s largest hospitality networks.

Ambros Daytona, a newly opened 50-room beachfront hotel on Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores, has joined the Trademark Collection by Wyndham—becoming the first property in the brand’s portfolio in Daytona Beach. The hotel debuted in January 2026 and introduced a wellness-focused, design-forward alternative to the area’s traditionally casual beachfront accommodations.

Developed by entrepreneurs Louis S. Caiola, Graham Jones, and Gregory Jones, Ambros Daytona occupies a restored three-story oceanfront structure originally built in the 1960s. The property preserves its historic exterior while unveiling a fully reimagined interior that leans into a calm Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic, with neutral palettes, custom furnishings, and artwork by local muralist Christopher Nebel. Guest accommodations include 50 rooms and suites—Queen rooms averaging about 325 square feet and larger King Family Suites ranging from 325 to 500 square feet, several equipped with kitchenettes and full ocean views of the Atlantic.

Design details are carefully curated throughout the property. Guest rooms feature a custom “Ambros Cool Blanche” color palette paired with soft “Greek Villa” ceiling tones, while the hotel’s signature scent—Apotheke White Vetiver—extends through diffusers, room sprays, and bath amenities to create a consistent sensory experience. Murals inside the rooms draw inspiration from the artistic style seen in musician Lenny Kravitz’s Brazilian home, adding a subtle artistic layer to the minimalist interiors.

Outside, the hotel’s redesigned pool deck faces unobstructed Atlantic Ocean views and features Blomus daybeds and a lounge atmosphere that channels a boutique beach club rather than the brightly colored aesthetic often associated with classic Florida motels. Guests can also visit The Counter, a poolside café serving wine, beer, light coastal fare, and refreshments throughout the day.

A major wellness component is also on the way. In summer 2026, the hotel plans to open the Ambros Daytona Wellness Studio just across the street—a 1,200-square-foot space offering yoga classes, surf lessons, holistic massages, and esthetician services. The studio will be overseen by wellness coordinator Paige Jagger and will host a rotating schedule of programming for both hotel guests and local residents.

By joining the Trademark Collection by Wyndham portfolio, Ambros Daytona gains access to the global reservation and loyalty network of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts while maintaining its independent boutique identity—an approach designed to help distinctive properties scale their reach without losing their individual design and character.
