Inside the new Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé

Waldorf Astoria has officially opened its first property in Morocco with the debut of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé inside Mohammed VI Tower, the country’s tallest building positioned between Rabat and Salé along the Bouregreg River. The 55-key hotel introduces the brand to Morocco through a design approach shaped by celestial references, Moroccan craftsmanship, and Atlantic-facing views extending across the capital.

Accommodations range from deluxe rooms to expansive three-bedroom suites, each paired with dedicated Personal Concierge service. Interiors throughout the tower were designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon.

Dining is led by Aldabaran, the property’s signature restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse, serving a menu centered on seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean-influenced fine dining. Peacock Alley acts as the hotel’s central lounge beneath a planetarium-inspired clock installation, while Brasserie Magnolia offers Mediterranean cuisine from chef Lahcen Hafid. Additional venues including pan-Asian bar The Sapphire Room and coffee concept Après are scheduled to open soon.

Nearly 7,000 artworks and artifacts are integrated throughout the guestrooms and public spaces, forming one of North Africa’s largest private hotel art collections.

Wellness facilities include a Moroccan hammam, six treatment rooms, heated quartz sand therapy, an Iyashi dome, sauna, indoor pool, ocean-facing infinity pool, relaxation lounge, and 24-hour fitness center overlooking the Atlantic coastline.

Nearly 1,300 square meters of event space includes a grand ballroom and three meeting rooms. Located minutes from Rabat-Salé International Airport and connected to Casablanca and Tangier through Morocco’s high-speed rail network, the hotel places guests near UNESCO-listed landmarks including the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the historic medinas of Rabat and Salé.
