Updated: Dec 16, 2025

Palm Beach is about to debut one of its most anticipated dining moments yet, and it’s happening inside one of the island’s most historic addresses.

Tutto Mare, a Mediterranean waterfront restaurant from the New York–based Tutto il Giorno group, is set to open in the coming weeks at the Royal Poinciana Playhouse, marking Palm Beach’s first true Intracoastal-facing restaurant. The 200-seat concept, designed by bonetti/kozerski with Spina O'Rourke + Partners as the Architect of Record, will span more than 8,300 square feet of prime lakefront real estate, with expansive indoor-outdoor dining designed to flow directly onto the water—an experience long missing from the island’s dining scene. The restaurant is expected to be fully open by the end of December.

The location itself carries deep Palm Beach history. Tutto Mare will occupy the storied waterfront space once home to the Celebrity Room, the famed John Volk–designed restaurant and nightclub that hosted generations of high-profile diners and late-night crowds. Reopening this space as an all-day, sunset-facing dining destination signals a major evolution for the Playhouse—one that blends preservation with a fresh, contemporary energy.

The restaurant is led by husband-and-wife team Gianpaolo de Felice and Gabby Karan de Felice, founders of Tutto il Giorno, with Gabby being the daughter of legendary designer Donna Karan. Their vision for Tutto Mare draws heavily from Gianpaolo’s Southern Italian upbringing, centering on relaxed seaside dining, Mediterranean flavors, and a setting that feels effortless rather than formal. Think long lunches, golden-hour dinners, and a layout that encourages guests to linger as the sun drops behind the Intracoastal.

Tutto Mare also represents the Tutto il Giorno group’s first Florida opening, expanding a brand best known for its refined yet approachable restaurants in Manhattan, the Hamptons, and beyond. Bringing that DNA to Palm Beach—paired with direct waterfront access—positions the restaurant as an instant destination for both locals and seasonal visitors.

The opening arrives amid a broader renaissance at the Royal Poinciana Playhouse, which has rapidly reestablished itself as one of Palm Beach’s most important cultural and lifestyle hubs. Just steps from Tutto Mare, Cartier recently opened a permanent boutique at Royal Poinciana Plaza, returning to the island more than a century after first debuting a seasonal presence in Palm Beach in 1924. Housed within the restored playhouse façade, the boutique underscores the careful balance of heritage and modern luxury now defining the property.

Looking ahead, the Playhouse will soon welcome Glazer Hall, Palm Beach’s first new nonprofit arts organization in more than 60 years and its only waterfront performing arts venue. Once open, Glazer Hall will bring year-round programming—music, theater, film, and cultural events—further anchoring the site as a day-to-night destination where dining, retail, and the arts converge.

Together, Tutto Mare, Cartier, and Glazer Hall signal a pivotal new chapter for the Royal Poinciana Playhouse—one where Palm Beach history, waterfront access, and contemporary culture finally meet.
