Justin Timberlake and 8AM Golf are partnering to develop an 18-hole golf course named Bounty Club, situated just fifteen minutes north of downtown Nashville in Whites Creek. The project, which encompasses 363 acres, aims to establish a "premier private club" scheduled to open this fall. Recently, the ownership group expanded the property by acquiring an additional 112 acres from Ole South Properties Inc. for $7.5 million, as noted in Metro records.
The course design, led by King Collins Golf Course Design, incorporates the area's natural landscape, including centuries-old creeks and rolling terrain, to enhance the golfing experience. The design promises four scenic overlooks featuring views of Nashville’s skyline. Additionally, Pfeffer Torode is tasked with designing the club house.
Rob Collins, principal designer at King Collins, expressed his enthusiasm for the site's unique location and design in a February 2023 Instagram post, emphasizing its proximity to downtown Nashville and its dramatic natural features.
The project's land acquisitions, managed by The Farm Nashville, an LLC linked to 8AM Golf, total $30 million. The Bounty Club’s website highlights an exclusive, "highly curated" membership, aligning with the current trend of growing waitlists for country clubs nationwide. Data from Club Benchmarking reveals that the percentage of country clubs with waiting lists has nearly doubled from 25% in 2019 to 49% currently, with the median initiation fee increasing from $29,000 to $50,000 in the same period.
Bounty Club is part of the 8AM Golf Club’s portfolio, which includes Golf Magazine, Golf.com, Nicklaus Companies, among others. Howard Milstein, a billionaire entrepreneur and banker, chairs the company. Timberlake, a partner in 8AM Golf since 2020, has also collaborated with Phoenix-based restaurateur Sam Fox on a multi-concept venue, The Twelve Thirty Club, located on Lower Broadway.
