With renovations beginning last summer, the 38-story oceanview property is currently undergoing a top-to-bottom redesign across guest rooms and suites, pool deck, restaurants, spa, fitness center, landscaping, and a complete reimagining of the lobby — all while remaining fully operational, with completion targeted for May 2026.

This is a full-scale reinvestment, not a cosmetic refresh. Led by internationally renowned Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, with architectural collaboration from Guerin Glass Architects and backing from Irongate Group, the overhaul is designed to elevate the hotel into a sharper, more globally competitive tier within Waikīkī’s evolving luxury market.

The new vision introduces a refined residential aesthetic that layers Hawaiian influence with international sophistication. The lobby is being transformed around a striking new bar installation that will anchor the arrival experience with warmth and architectural presence. Throughout the property, neutral palettes, rich wood tones, custom furnishings, and curated artisanal details are replacing heavier traditional elements with a lighter, more contemporary expression of island luxury.

Guest rooms and suites are being reworked with creamy hues, plush textures, handcrafted furniture, and colorful ceramics that add dimension without overpowering the view. Light oak paneling, Tajimi tile accents, and marble countertops introduce texture and depth to living areas, while bespoke bedroom pieces create a calm, tailored atmosphere. The pool cabanas, Wai’olu Ocean Cuisine, and shared spaces are being aligned with the same cohesive design language — understated, tactile, and intentional.

Perched above Fort DeRussy Park with panoramic views of the Pacific and Diamond Head, the hotel continues to command one of Waikīkī’s most strategic vantage points. Its residential-style accommodations, infinity pool and sun deck, signature dining venues, wellness facilities, and beach services remain key pillars as the transformation moves toward its 2026 unveiling.
