Sheraton Tribeca New York has officially become the first and only Sheraton in New York City to debut the brand's next-generation design, completing a multi-million-dollar transformation in August 2026 that rebuilds the 22-floor, 369-room hotel at the crossroads of Tribeca, SoHo, and Hudson Square around a lobby meant to be worked from rather than walked through. The hotel is now one of 82 properties out of more than 430 Sheratons worldwide to carry the new design and guest experience, and it arrives in Manhattan with community tables, private work booths, a rentable studio, a theater room, a day-to-night food-and-beverage concept called &More, and a Club Lounge terrace with unobstructed, sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

The renovation is part of Marriott International's global redesign of the Sheraton brand, and at 370 Canal Street it lands on a building that opened in 2010. All 369 guest rooms have been fully renovated for the way people travel today, with electric standing desks, acoustic noise-dampening panels, and contemporary finishes meant to balance comfort with productivity. The premise is that a downtown hotel room doubles as an office for a good share of the day.

Downstairs, Sheraton has reconceived the lobby as a gathering place, with community tables for the people who want to be seen working, private Sheraton Lobby booths for the people who do not, a rentable studio with integrated technology, and a theater room. It is the physical version of the brand's pitch to turn "Work from Home" into "Work from Hotel," and of its positioning as "The World's Gathering Place." Threaded through all of it is &More, the hotel's new food-and-beverage concept, which runs from morning coffee to all-day dining to evening cocktails without asking a guest to change rooms or change plans.

Above the lobby, the updated Sheraton Club Lounge is open to guests booking premium accommodations and to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members and above, with a complimentary hot buffet breakfast and an evening happy hour. Beside it, a refreshed outdoor terrace opens onto unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline and doubles as a private-event venue, and the hotel also keeps a rooftop known as the Tribeca Terrace. The fitness center has been revamped with all-new equipment, backed by Planet Fitness access. For the groups the lobby booths cannot hold, 1,400 square feet of flexible meeting and event space has been fitted with 75-inch televisions and current conference technology.

Sheraton is Marriott International's most global brand, positioned in the premium tier, with nearly 440 hotels in 70-plus countries across six continents, more than 140 in the pipeline, and more than 85 years behind the name. "We are beyond thrilled to showcase Marriott's global transformation of the Sheraton brand in the iconic Tribeca neighborhood," said Jay Solanki, General Manager of the Sheraton Tribeca. The renovation is complete and the hotel is open.
