New rankings place Palm Beach International Airport among the best in the nation

Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) has just been ranked fourth among medium-sized airports by the North America Airport Satisfaction Study by J.D. Power. This recognition follows another accolade for PBI, which was listed among the nation's top 10 best airports by Travel + Leisure just two months ago.

The timing of the J.D. Power ranking is noteworthy, as PBI is currently undergoing enhancements. These include the addition of new restaurants, expanded retail space, larger restroom facilities, adult changing areas, a sensory room, nursing stations, and two new passenger-jet bridges. "This ranking reaffirms our dedication to providing a top-notch, stress-free customer experience," said Laura Beebe, Director of Airports.

PBI has seen approximately 7.4 million travelers pass through its terminals over the past 12-months. Additionally, the airport reported a 17% increase in passenger traffic this past July compared to the same month last year. As the holiday season approaches, PBI is also expanding its flight offerings with daily direct services to cities such as Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, Houston, and Washington-Dulles.

The study also revealed rankings for other Florida airports. Miami International Airport and Orlando International Airport secured fifth and tenth positions, respectively, in the mega airport category. Tampa International Airport led the list for large airports, while Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport was among the bottom five. Jacksonville International Airport, another medium-sized airport in Florida, ranked sixth.
