Stylus is bringing a new kind of members club to New York, built entirely around sound, space, and sensory precision. Set to open in 2026 at 48 Clinton Street on the Lower East Side, the concept introduces a tightly curated, high-fidelity environment with membership capped at just 750.

The four-story, 10,000-square-foot property reimagines a historic structure that has evolved from a 1940s market to Loho Studios and later a Blue Man Group rehearsal space, now transformed into a layered sequence of social and acoustic environments. Designed by O’Neill Rose Architects with contributions from Paolo Matera, Selene Privitera, and MARA, the layout intentionally moves from more energetic, public-facing rooms into quieter, acoustically controlled spaces deeper within the building.

Architecture is led by O’Neill Rose Architects, with contributions from Paolo Matera, Selene Privitera, and MARA. The layout transitions from public, high-energy spaces to quieter, acoustically controlled environments.

The main listening room, Ephemeral, is a double-height performance space equipped with a custom analog sound system by Devon Turnbull and an immersive system from Amadeus Acoustics. The room can adjust acoustics to simulate different environments.

Additional spaces include Subliminal, a subterranean listening lounge designed for 40Hz sound and light sessions, as well as lounges, a recording and podcast studio, private dining rooms, and a residential-style suite.

The culinary program is led by Anita Lo, who held a Michelin star for nine consecutive years at Annisa. Offerings include daily service, guest chef residencies, workshops, and private dining. Programming will include listening sessions, live performances, film screenings, and sound-based wellness experiences.
