Set to launch by the end of 2024, West Palm Beach is gearing up to welcome a new entertainment complex near Palm Beach International Airport. PopStroke, not just another addition to the area's golf scene, promises a unique blend of leisure activities and dining experiences, and become the brand's nationwide flagship location.
Palm Beach County is no stranger to innovative golf and entertainment venues, boasting two notable locations near the airport: a reinvented public golf course, The Park, and Drive Shack, a multi-level golf range and entertainment hub. Following in these footsteps, PopStroke, backed by golf legend Tiger Woods, broke ground earlier this week. Located at the airport's southwestern corner, this new site aims to redefine leisure and entertainment in West Palm Beach.
The complex is designed to be a haven for both locals and tourists, featuring two 18-hole mini-golf courses made of synthetic turf, a two-story restaurant and lounge with airport views, and a variety of bars, including a sushi bar and club. The entertainment doesn't stop there; guests can enjoy a rooftop pool, jumbotron screens for public viewing events, an outdoor beer garden with games, and a play area for children. Additionally, the venue will offer luggage storage and a free shuttle service to and from the airport.
PopStroke, the company behind this venture, is rapidly expanding its footprint. With Tiger Woods and TaylorMade as partners, PopStroke operates multiple locations across the United States and has plans for further expansion, including a new site in Wellington set to open in 2025.
Despite its focus on mini-golf, this venue aims to be more than just a place for golf enthusiasts. It aspires to be a comprehensive entertainment destination, dubbed the "Pebble Beach of mini-golf" by its creators. With its wide array of amenities, it's poised to become a significant addition to Palm Beach County's entertainment landscape.
The collaboration with Palm Beach County and the Airport Authority signifies a significant investment in the community, promising to bring new jobs and contribute to the local economy. The lease agreement for the airport site spans 30 years, with rent adjustments tied to the Consumer Price Index and a percentage of gross revenues, ensuring a shared success with the county.
This project not only reflects the growing trend of combining sports with entertainment and dining but also reinforces Palm Beach County's status as a premier destination for golf and leisure. As this new venue takes shape, it's set to offer memorable experiences for families, young professionals, and retirees alike, adding to the area's rich tapestry of attractions.
