Roxy’s Pub, a historic tavern in Palm Beach County, Florida, is set to become the first non-hotel restaurant/bar in the US to have a rooftop swimming pool.
The Downtown Action Committee has approved plans for the $17.4 million project, which includes a 100 by 30-foot pool, 16 private cabanas, and a full-service bar and restaurant. The additions will be atop Roxy's and the neighboring building at 313 Clematis St., which owner John Webb bought for $7.5 million last October. The new venue is intended to attract a mature, upscale clientele, with a minimum entry age of 25. The 300 block of Clematis will be closed for 90 days for construction starting June 12.
