Banco Santander is set to make a significant mark on Miami's skyline with the construction of the Santander Tower, a 41-story landmark at 1401 Brickell Avenue. This new development, already fenced off, will replace the existing 14-story building, with demolition slated to begin in the coming weeks.
The Santander Tower, designed by Handel Architects and Bernardi & Peschard Arquitectura, will stand tall at 765 feet and offer 1.6 million square feet of prime office and retail space. Santander employees will occupy a portion of the office space, while the rest will be leased to third-party tenants. The tower will boast state-of-the-art amenities, including bay views, terraces with integrated gardens, and a potential daycare or urban club. It will also adhere to the highest international standards for sustainable construction.
During the construction period, the 650+ Santander employees currently working in the existing building will be relocated to temporary offices on Brickell Avenue and in Santander’s Coconut Grove office. The project is expected to take several years to complete.
