Tacos del Cartel unveils its Florida takeover plans

Tacos del Cartel has officially arrived in West Palm Beach, bringing a bold, culture-first Mexican concept to South Florida as Veho Hospitality Group opens its first Florida outpost. Opening earlier this year on Clematis Street — Tacos del Cartel has built a loyal following across New Orleans, Metairie, and Baton Rouge, and has now expanded into a new market with the same core mission: serve Mexico as it is — no fusion, no shortcuts, no translation needed.

Inspired by the carteles that line streets across Mexico, the restaurant is built on authentic expression and real tradition. Its team, led by Veho Hospitality Group, is rapidly growing the portfolio with a Delray Beach location already set for 2026, alongside concepts such as Sushi By Us, Taquerías Carnalito, and Sexy Eleven.

The menu leans all the way into craft and technique, starting with signatures like the Tendedero de Birria — slow-cooked beef with rich consommé presented on a miniature clothesline — and the Barbacoa de Short Rib, marinated and cooked until it falls apart. Every tortilla is nixtamalized and made in-house, every salsa is prepared fresh daily, and every plate reflects a commitment to doing things the right way.

Weekend brunch keeps the momentum going. From 9 AM to 3 PM, Saturdays and Sundays deliver Mexican-style favorites, including Benedict Eggs topped with chipotle hollandaise and the crowd-pleasing Tres Leches French Toast layered with brioche, berries, bacon, and vanilla ice cream.

Whether you’re in for the birria, the brunch, or the cocktails, Tacos del Cartel West Palm Beach brings the kind of energy that keeps people returning the next day. And with Delray Beach on deck for 2026, the brand’s Florida presence is just getting started.
