Tampa is getting a major new live music venue in Ybor City's new Gasworx District

Tampa is adding a major new live music anchor, with a 4,300-capacity venue now planned for the heart of Ybor City as part of the rapidly evolving Gasworx District.

KETTLER has partnered with Live Nation to deliver the mid-size venue along North 15th Street, steps from 7th Avenue and a future TECO Streetcar stop, with a targeted opening in late 2028. Designed to fill a key gap in Tampa’s live entertainment landscape, the venue will attract touring artists while offering a more intimate setting than large arenas, strengthening the city’s growing music ecosystem.

The design leans heavily into Ybor City’s historic character, pairing a brick façade and vintage-style marquee with a theater-inspired interior featuring a proscenium stage, balcony seating, and rich, atmospheric finishes. The project is being developed in collaboration with Live Nation’s Blueprint Studio and TVS Architecture, with a focus on strong sightlines, advanced production capabilities, and artist-friendly backstage spaces.

Positioned as an economic driver, the venue is projected to generate roughly $80 million annually, support around 440 jobs, and contribute approximately $6 million in yearly tax revenue—while increasing foot traffic for surrounding restaurants, hotels, and local businesses.

It also becomes a key piece of the broader Gasworx master plan, which is set to deliver around 5,000 residences, more than 500,000 square feet of office space, and 120,000 square feet of retail, anchored by a 28,000-square-foot marketplace opening in 2027 and a new one-acre public park.
