Minor Hotels has launched a new luxury brand, The Wolseley Hotels, with its first property set to open in New York in early 2027. The Wolseley Hotel New York will be the brand's inaugural hotel worldwide and its global flagship, marking Minor Hotels' entry into the United States luxury segment.

Located steps from Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan, the hotel occupies the landmark building at 130 West 44th Street, built in 1905 as the clubhouse for The Lambs, America's first professional theatrical club, and designed by Stanford White of McKim, Mead & White. The building reopened as The Chatwal New York in 2010, and is now being repositioned as The Wolseley's New York flagship. The address has long been tied to Broadway's creative community.

The hotel will offer 76 rooms and suites combining classical detailing with a restrained, contemporary design. At its center will be The Wolseley New York, the brand's first United States restaurant and its culinary flagship for North America, carrying forward the grand café tradition of The Wolseley on London's Piccadilly with all-day dining and signature cocktails. A cellar-level speakeasy bar and a wellness center round out the property.
The brand draws on its London namesake, known for its Art Deco interiors and its standing as a gathering place for cultural, business and civic figures. The New York flagship establishes the foundation for a deliberate global rollout, with future properties planned across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
