Three-level Palm Springs-inspired hotspot unveiled in East Nashville

East Nashville is about to get a burst of Palm Springs nostalgia as Icon Entertainment & Hospitality prepares to open The Greenwood, a new multi-level bar and restaurant designed as a laid-back escape in the heart of the neighborhood. Opening mid-summer at 2105 Greenwood Avenue, the project brings three distinct experiences together under one roof, from intimate sunken lounges to an expansive rooftop overlooking the surrounding streets.

The Greenwood sits right next to Icon’s popular Schulman’s and is designed to complement the neighborhood’s casual energy. The venue spans a 2,700-square-foot rooftop, two indoor lounge areas arranged around fireplaces, a full dining room, and a lower-level patio, with room for more than 300 guests throughout the building. Each area will feature its own menu style, with small plates and cocktails in the lounge spaces, full dining in the main room, and a flexible mix on the roof.

Icon plans to use the versatility of the building to host events and bring new programming to the neighborhood, including the ability to activate the adjacent parking lot for special occasions. The design has been two years in the making, led by Jordan Miller—Icon’s executive vice president of construction and interior design—who sourced materials nationwide and worked with Nashville-based Powell to bring the Palm Springs aesthetic to life.

The opening of The Greenwood marks a continued expansion for Icon Entertainment & Hospitality, one of Nashville’s most established hospitality groups with a portfolio spanning The Johnny Cash Museum, Schulman’s, Skull’s Rainbow Room, Sinatra Bar & Lounge, House of Cards, and more.
