West Palm Beach's next waterfront tower is officially rising

West Palm Beach’s waterfront is entering a new era as Olara officially begins its rise along North Flagler Drive, transforming a long-anticipated vision into a skyline-defining reality. With vertical construction now underway at 1919 North Flagler Drive, the ultra-luxury residential tower has reached a pivotal milestone, moving from groundwork into its most visible phase as it advances toward a 2028 completion.

Developed by Savanna, Olara is set to become one of the most significant residential addresses on the Intracoastal, introducing 275 residences, more than 80,000 square feet of resort-caliber amenities, and direct waterfront access through a private marina. Positioned along one of the city’s most dynamic corridors, the project reframes North Flagler Drive as a true luxury waterfront destination, with sweeping views across the Intracoastal Waterway, Palm Beach Island, and the Atlantic beyond.

The current phase centers on the construction of Olara’s massive podium—an architectural and structural foundation spanning roughly 100,000 square feet. More than a base, the podium establishes the building’s grand arrival sequence and houses critical infrastructure, including a full-building backup generator capable of powering every residence, along with EV charging throughout the garage. The scale is formidable: nearly 96,000 cubic yards of concrete and over 1.7 million pounds of post-tension material are being used to bring the structure to life.

Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors and amenity spaces by Gabellini Sheppard Associates, Olara’s residences range from approximately 1,500 to over 4,200 square feet, offering two- to four-bedroom layouts with den options. Floor-to-ceiling glass, expansive terraces, European-inspired kitchens, and spa-like primary baths define each home, all composed in a refined palette of natural materials that emphasizes light, openness, and calm.

Amenities are conceived on a scale more commonly found at five-star resorts. The 80,000-square-foot program includes 13,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor fitness spaces, an open-air yoga deck, Pilates studio, turf training lanes, and flexible movement rooms. A regeneration spa managed by Arch Amenities introduces a cold plunge, vitality pools, and meditation spaces, complemented by access to premier medical services through Sollis Health.

Outdoor offerings include a lap pool, resort-style leisure pool, waterfront veranda, game room, and multi-sports simulator. But Olara’s defining feature is its private marina—a 192-foot dock extending directly into the Intracoastal, providing dedicated slips for residents and a seafaring concierge to arrange yacht charters and waterfront dining. In a city where most waterfront towers stop at views, Olara is built around true access.

Further elevating the project, Olara will introduce the José Andrés Group’s first restaurant in the Palm Beaches. The waterfront venue will bring the Michelin-starred hospitality group directly into the building, with indoor and outdoor dining, in-residence service, and curated food and beverage experiences woven throughout the amenity spaces.

With pricing beginning at $1.7 million, Olara stands among the most consequential residential developments on the West Palm Beach waterfront. As North Flagler continues its transformation, the tower’s ascent signals more than new construction—it marks a shift in how the city’s edge meets the water, redefining what luxury living looks like along one of South Florida’s most rapidly evolving shorelines.
