What Orient Express has launched, and what’s coming next

Orient Express is quickly becoming one of the most ambitious hospitality platforms in the world, spanning legendary trains, landmark hotels, and the largest sailing yachts ever built, all coming online within a two-year window.

The momentum was on full display this week in Paris, where Orient Express took center stage at the Art Deco Centenary Exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. As the only hospitality brand invited to participate at this scale, Orient Express is anchoring the global celebration of 100 years of Art Deco with an original Étoile du Nord carriage and three scale models previewing the rebirth of L’Orient Express, designed by Maxime d’Angeac ahead of its 2027 debut.

But the exhibition is only the backdrop. The real story is how much Orient Express has already launched—and how much is about to arrive.

Italy is now home to La Dolce Vita Orient Express, launched in April 2025 and redefining rail travel with curated routes through the country’s most iconic regions. With 31 cabins and suites by Dimorestudio, Michelin-starred menus by Heinz Beck, immersive off-train experiences, and newly introduced golf-focused itineraries, the train marks Orient Express’ first major step into modern slow travel.

Rome followed quickly. Orient Express La Minerva opened its doors a few weeks after La Dolce Vita's launch inside a restored 17th-century palazzo steps from the Pantheon, introducing the brand’s first hotel with 93 rooms, 36 suites, and a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city’s most famous monuments. A dedicated spa is next.

In April 2026, Orient Express Venezia will open inside a 15th-century Venetian palazzo, bringing 47 guestrooms, suites, and apartments to one of the world’s most tightly held hotel markets. Reservations are already open, marking the brand’s second hotel in just over a year.

Then comes the sea.

Launching in summer 2026, Orient Express Corinthian will debut as the world’s largest sailing yacht at 722 feet. Designed by Maxime d’Angeac, the yacht features just 54 oversized suites, five restaurants led by Yannick Alléno, and headline-level amenities including a cabaret, recording studio, and dual pools. The first Mediterranean and Adriatic itineraries begin in summer 2026, followed by a transatlantic crossing to the Caribbean. A sister ship, Orient Express Olympian, will follow in summer 2027.

And in 2027, the icon returns.

The fully restored L’Orient Express will relaunch on the legendary Paris–Istanbul route, bringing the original train cars back to life with contemporary interiors that honor the golden age of travel while setting a new benchmark for luxury rail.

Looking ahead to 2027 itineraries

Orient Express Sailing Yachts has already unveiled its 2027 routes, expanding beyond the Côte d’Azur, Italian Riviera, and Adriatic into Greece, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and Northern Europe. Each itinerary is wind-led to reduce environmental impact, pairing iconic destinations with curated cultural access, Michelin-level dining, and onboard wellness by Guerlain.

Taken together, the scope is staggering: multiple trains across Europe, flagship hotels in Rome and Venice, two next-generation sailing yachts, and the full revival of the most famous train route in the world—most of it launching between now and 2027.
