Minor Hotels has unveiled Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences, a low-density luxury project scheduled to open in 2029 along Sandy Point on North Caicos, marking the brand’s first Caribbean property and a major expansion of Anantara’s footprint across the Americas.

The development will include 78 branded residences available for private ownership, including a collection of beachfront villas designed for indoor-outdoor island living. Miami-based RAD and Meyer Davis are leading the architecture and design, bringing a contemporary resort sensibility to a quieter side of Turks and Caicos known for privacy, natural beauty, and long stretches of coastline.

Set on North Caicos, often called the “Garden Island,” the project is positioned as a more nature-led alternative to the established luxury energy of Providenciales. The island sits within one of the Caribbean’s most recognized high-end travel markets, with direct air access from major U.S. and Canadian hubs and proximity to Miami, while the resort itself will feature a private marina connecting guests and residents to nearby cays and the wider archipelago.

Wellness will be central to the resort experience, with Anantara Spa treatments inspired by native species, medicinal plants, flowering botanicals, and gardens throughout the property. The development is also planned with an on-site observatory, using North Caicos’ minimal light pollution to create programming tied to lunar cycles, planetary alignments, nighttime relaxation rituals, sleep-focused experiences, and sunrise practices.

Additional amenities will include a fitness center, yoga studios, tennis, padel and pickleball courts, a dedicated water sports center, and multiple pools. Dining will continue the nature-driven approach, with herb-led infusions, ingredients from on-site orchards and gardens, relaxed beachfront venues, a wine cellar, and a sunset rooftop bar.

“Introducing Anantara to the Caribbean is a significant milestone for our group,” said Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International, the parent company of Minor Hotels. “The Turks and Caicos Islands are among the world’s most recognised luxury destinations, and North Caicos provides an ideal setting for our experiential and sustainability-driven approach to hospitality.”

Caroline Domange, CEO of Octans and co-founder of Cheval Blanc for LVMH, is part of the project’s ownership team and described North Caicos as a rare setting that combines convenient access with serenity, turquoise water, beaches, and natural beauty. Locally based developer Rob Ayer, also part of the ownership team, added that the vision is to build on what has always made Turks and Caicos compelling while offering “the original experience of the destination.”

The Honourable Charles Washington Misick, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, said the Anantara brand is a natural fit for North Caicos’ culture of wellbeing and called the project “the beginning of a new chapter for luxury lifestyles in the Turks and Caicos.”

Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residences will be accessible through Providenciales International Airport followed by a private boat transfer to the resort’s marina, or through North Caicos Airport, which is currently being redeveloped to improve private-flight access. Branded residences are now available for pre-sale.

The announcement adds to Anantara’s growing pipeline in the Americas, where the brand now has projects announced in Turks and Caicos, Brazil, Argentina, and Miami. For Turks and Caicos, it signals another major move in the evolution of the islands’ luxury market, bringing a globally recognized hospitality brand to a more secluded stretch of the Caribbean.
