175 Park Avenue is a roughly 3-million-square-foot, 95-story mixed-use supertall planned beside Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan's Midtown East, co-developed by RXR and TF Cornerstone on the site of the Grand Hyatt New York. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and previously known as Project Commodore, the tower would rise about 1,580 feet at the northwest corner of Lexington Avenue and East 42nd Street, making it one of the tallest buildings in New York City. The program devotes the bulk of the building to Class A office floors sized for large corporate tenants, with a roughly 200-key Hyatt hotel occupying the upper levels and retail at the base. As much as the tower itself, the project is a transit undertaking: it carries a major public realm and infrastructure package including an expanded Grand Central transit hall, new subway and Long Island Rail Road circulation, and a landscaped public plaza along East 42nd Street, delivered under Midtown East rezoning bonuses.
