About the project

343 Madison Avenue is a 46-story, roughly 930,000-square-foot trophy office tower rising on the east side of Madison Avenue between East 44th and East 45th Streets in Midtown East, Manhattan, developed by BXP and designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. Built over MTA land above the new Grand Central Madison concourse, the tower gives tenants direct underground access to Grand Central Terminal and the Long Island Rail Road. The all-electric, zero-carbon building pairs column-free floor plates and outdoor terraces with a hospitality-forward amenity program, including a double-height, tenant-exclusive club on the top floors for dining and gathering, a lobby cafe and bicycle storage with showers. Insurer Starr anchors the tower across a block of mid-rise floors, joined by law firm McDermott Will & Schulte, and BXP has secured a $1.2 billion construction loan from a bank group including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, BNY and JPMorgan Chase.
