About the project

Set on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Royal is a 193,600-square-meter hospitality icon that reinvented the language of the tall building. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox's New York office (lead architects James von Klemperer and Elie Gamburg), the 43-story project organizes a series of shifted, stacked residential and hotel blocks into a sinuous quarter-mile lattice, with the gaps between volumes forming sky terraces, cabanas and the now-iconic cantilevered infinity pools — including an 88th-meter Cleopatra-style sky pool. The resort houses 795 guestrooms and suites alongside 231 branded Atlantis residences, 17 restaurants and bars (including outposts by José Andrés, Heston Blumenthal, Costas Spiliadis, Ariana Bundy and more), a vast spa, 90 swimming experiences and one of the largest fountain-and-pyrotechnic shows in the region by WET Design. Developed by Kerzner International with Besix–Ssangyong JV as main contractor and interiors by GA Design and SM Design, Atlantis The Royal opened in 2023 with a star-studded debut headlined by Beyoncé.
