Poised to become the world's second-tallest building after the Burj Khalifa, the roughly 133-storey spire packs a seven-star themed hotel, luxury branded residences, a vertical retail mall and observation levels into a single slender tower. Its engineering-intensive foundations include a five-metre-thick raft slab designed to carry the full structural load, alongside a nine-level automated car park sunk nearly 30 metres below grade. Structural steel for the tower is being fabricated and erected by Eversendai Corporation.
