Foshan Gaoming International Airport

The "Lingnan Star" scheme for Foshan Gaoming International Airport gives the Pearl River Delta's newest gateway a terminal shaped around the flowing, star-like motifs of Lingnan regional culture, set beneath a sweeping roof over an efficient, flexible passenger-processing layout. The first phase pairs a vast passenger terminal with dozens of aircraft stands and two parallel runways, sized initially for tens of millions of passengers a year and engineered to scale toward far greater capacity over time. Led by the Guangdong Architectural Design & Research Institute with France's ADPi, the design leans into a strong regional identity rather than a generic mega-terminal aesthetic. As a second major hub serving Guangzhou and Foshan, it is one of southern China's most consequential aviation landmarks.
