About the project

Foshan Gaoming International Airport is a major new aviation gateway rising in the Gaoming District of Foshan, in China's Guangdong province. Serving the fast-growing western Pearl River Delta, the airport is designed to relieve pressure on Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and expand regional air connectivity. The first phase spans roughly 1,213 hectares and centers on a terminal of about 260,000 square meters, two widely spaced parallel runways, and 94 aircraft stands, engineered to handle around 30 million passengers a year at opening and up to 60 million long term. The project ranks among the largest infrastructure undertakings in the Greater Bay Area.
