Hard Rock Las Vegas

Hard Rock Las Vegas is the more than $4 billion transformation of the former Mirage at 3400 South Las Vegas Boulevard, at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, by Hard Rock International and its owner, the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The centerpiece is a guitar-shaped hotel tower designed by Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors, the Las Vegas firm behind the Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, rising roughly 660 feet and 42 stories on the site of the old Mirage volcano and wrapped in blue glass with illuminated LED guitar strings running up its face. The tower adds about 675 rooms and suites to a resort of roughly 3,700 hotel rooms, with a casino of around 174,000 square feet and more than 200,000 square feet of meeting, dining and retail space. Entertainment is built around a three-venue lineup: a 5,000-seat Hard Rock Live flagship, the new 2,000-seat West Theater and a reimagined former Mirage theater. The existing Mirage buildings are being gutted and reworked rather than demolished, turning one of the Strip's founding megaresorts into a rock-and-roll themed destination with the guitar silhouette as its new landmark.
