JNcQUOI Comporta is a private members' club, hotel and residence retreat set across a protected coastal reserve of roughly 405 acres on Portugal's Alentejo coast, near the dunes and rice fields of Comporta. Conceived by the Amorim Luxury Group, chaired by Paula Amorim, with hospitality veteran Miguel Guedes de Sousa, and designed by Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, the enclave folds low-rise architecture of pigmented concrete, terracotta, cork and green roofs into the landscape along nearly a kilometer of private beachfront. The collection pairs a boutique hotel and guest pavilions with a limited number of turnkey villas served by in-house butlers, gathered around a clubhouse of restaurants, bars, a wine cellar, a cigar lounge and a Fashion Clinic boutique. Wellness runs deep, with an athletic club and spa, a racket club and family programming, while a links-style golf course designed by David McLay Kidd threads the reserve.
