Park Hyatt Comporta brings the Park Hyatt name to Portugal for the first time, on the Alentejo coast roughly an hour south of Lisbon in one of the country's most closely guarded stretches of pine forest and white sand. Developed by Portuguese developer Coporgest as part of the wider Comporta Beach Resort, the property pairs 58 guestrooms and suites with six two-bedroom private villas and 22 fully serviced Park Hyatt Comporta Residences, laid out low and loose among umbrella pines rather than stacked on the dunes. The resort sits beside the Troia Golf Course, an 18-hole par 72 designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., and carries swimming pools, a wellness and fitness complex, a padel court, a kids' club and a collection of restaurants. Coporgest is separately delivering 31 luxury villas and 49 apartments within the same resort under its own Luxury Beach Residences banner. Comporta has spent the past decade turning from a rice-farming and cork district into a discreet luxury enclave, and a Park Hyatt flag marks the arrival of a global ultra-luxury operator on that coastline.
