Martis Camp spans 2,177 acres of Martis Valley between Truckee and North Lake Tahoe along Highway 267, at elevations from 5,900 to 7,100 feet. Developer DMB broke ground in 2006 and capped the plan at 671 custom homesites, the last developer parcel selling in 2017, so entry today comes only through resale. The community is anchored by the Martis Camp Express, a members-only high-speed quad that climbs 1,722 vertical feet from inside the gates onto Northstar California, plus a Tom Fazio par-72 championship course ranked Golf Digest's No. 3 Best New Private Course of 2009.
