Official WebsiteThe Miami Signature Bridge, known as 'The Fountain,' is the centerpiece of the I-395/SR-836/I-95 Midtown Interchange reconstruction in downtown Miami, led by the Florida Department of Transportation. Designed by Donald MacDonald Architects, the 1,025-foot signature span carries traffic on six sweeping arches — the tallest rising some 330 feet over the urban core — while opening the ground below into a landscaped public park that reconnects Overtown with the surrounding city. Assembled from 345 uniquely cast precast arch segments, the roughly $866-million project rebuilds one of the region's most congested interchanges and gives Miami a sculptural new gateway, blending civil infrastructure with civic open space.
